If you’ve been managing your negative feelings by avoiding them, this is your sign to stop. Fear, anger, anxiety, and sadness are normal, and pushing away these feelings will result in more harm than good. I love to sell homes, but I also love helping people be happy. In fact, I run the Good Mood Revolution podcast, which is dedicated to helping individuals find happiness.

In my latest podcast episode, I had the honor of talking with Alex Korb, a neuroscientist who says that negative emotions are meant to help you—but you have to acknowledge them first. Today, I will share with you a snippet of what we talked about in the recent episode, which are the three effective ways to handle negative emotions:

1. If you feel bad, accept it. You’re supposed to feel bad sometimes because it’s a normal part of life. But it’s important to note that you don’t have to dwell in negative feelings; you just need to accept that they’re there, process them, and eventually move on.

“To feel good, I always recommend to people to listen to the Good Mood Revolution podcast, making it a habit to start the week with positivity.”

2. Write your feelings down. One way to manage your stress is by journaling. Writing down your worries, anger, sadness, or fear is a great way to let out those thoughts running through your head. By doing so, you get to release initial negative thoughts and be able to look at the situation objectively. Afterwards, you can decide what to do about it.

3. Listen to the Good Mood Revolution podcast. To feel good, I always recommend people listen to the Good Mood Revolution podcast, with new episodes every Monday, making it a habit to start the week with positivity. My recent episode featuring neuroscientist Alex Korb was, in my opinion, exceptional, and I would love for you to hear it. Keep up with my show on YouTube, Apple podcast, Listen Notes, and Spotify. With life’s daily stresses, we all need a little boost of positivity every now and then. Learning how to manage our negative emotions is also crucial to maintaining our overall emotional and physical health, as stress has been proven to have a holistic impact on one’s body—mentally, physically, and socially.

My Good Mood Revolution podcast is designed to help you be happier in your daily life. If you have any questions, please feel free to call (843) 619-0401 or email sales@mattoneillteam.com. I look forward to hearing from you, and don’t forget to tune in to the Good Mood Revolution podcast!
